Dye Day Friday II

I wanted to dye some yarn today and I wanted to document the process should I care to repeat it in the future. My camera, however, is out of batteries. But my Flip video recorder isn't! So, for today, you get a video blog post on my attempt at kettle dyed yarn.

Hey Jason~
Another tip! When you dye with food coloring, ADD table spoon of Alum(You can easy to find at spice section on any store. It's food grade and not toxic)

It will soak much dyes into the yarn and color is much brighter
and truth color!

Also you can my hand-dyed sock i just finsh knitting. Thanks!

Very cool! I did my purple sock yarn that way. I also just got one of the knit picks sock blanks. I'm pretty excited about turning it in to something really cool!

Jason - Nice tutorial! See what a little improvisation can do? Batteries? Ha...who needs 'em.

Listen, I wanted to let you know that I'm giving you a blog award. Seriously. The details will be posted in on my Blogger blog tomorrow. [Typepad is making me an un-happy camper with its slowness and cost; so I'm moving back to Blogger.]

It takes some gumption for us 'crafty dudes' to do what we do and share it with the world. I recognize that fact and want pass along the award to you.

Be sure to check out the details tomorrow. You'll need to pass it along to seven bloggers too.

Congrats!
